Losing weight tops many lists of New Years resolutions. But sticking with dietary changes is not easy.
Making big changes to your diet is a difficult thing to do. It is important to start small and set realistic goals for yourself. Youll have better self-esteem and more self-confidence because youll actually stick with them.
Here are a few tips for a healthier diet:
Dont skip breakfast. Try starting the day with yogurt and fruit or whole-grain cereal with low-fat milk.
Dont skip any meals or snacks. Try not to let more than five hours go by without eating. Waiting too long can zap energy and can lead to overeating.
Drink fewer sodas and other sweetened drinks, like sweet iced tea. Drink water
Eat at least five servings of fruits and vegetables every day.
Bring healthy snacks to work such as pretzels, fruit and yogurt then you wont find yourself at the vending machine every afternoon.
